My handspun wool shawl

This thing turned out so pretty, and also a lot shorter than I intended! I had 8 oz of wool dyed as you could see in my last post, and it really didnt make enough yarn to do much...but I am still happy, but the next time I want to make a big project I may spun a pound or more of wool for it LOL

And yes those are orbs in the picture. Yes I realize one is situated over my uterus, yes I am freaking out.

Anywhoo, the shawl is trimmed in this neato magenta colored fuzzy sparkly stuff I had stashed. I wanted it to have a trim and this worked well. I have it tied together in the front with a piece of that yarn, kinda lame, yes. I intend to put a nice button on here soon.

This is the back, I couldnt get a good picture of the back cause Justin was very un co-operative with me in taking pictures this night LOL

Here is the best picture Justin got but you can really see close up what it looks like. I made some boo-boos on it so its not perfect, but I love it all the same. I used a great big "Q" hook and a triple crochet stitch thru the whole thing. I wanted it to be big and open, lacy looking.

I love my kool aid dyed wool!!!

Next challenge is BAMBOO! I ordered a pound of it from Suespins on Etsy
And it should be getting here any day cause she was so awesome and shipped it so fast! I will post all my adventures with bamboo soon!

Kool Aid Dyed Some More Wool

I mentioned I bought some more wool from copperpot, well I HAD to dye it. I was thinking a nice pink and blue...like cotton candy, the Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade Kool-Aid is such a gorgeous color, and I had some pink lemonade Kool-aid that is a nice bubblegum pink...yeah thats what I was THINKING about doing what comes out of the bowl is different because my stupid a$$ forgot that pink+ blue = purple!
This is the drafted wool after dying. Its still got some pink and some blue spots but overall its this real nice purple. I am NOT complaining by no means about the color, its just...I really wanted cotton candy! (throws self in the floor crying)
It has spun up so nice...I am getting better at this drafting thing...thats where you take the roving and split it into really thin sections to be spun. At first I didnt realize that drafting was a necessary thing....but my yarn was cool anyways, but this is even better. This is my second try at spinning and dying plain wool and I am happy as I can be! The resulting yarn is no thicker than worsted weight yarn you get from a store and the thin parts arent SO thin...its mostly the same thickness all the way thru but there are some spots thicker than others...I am not sure if this is Kosher or not, I see lots of pretty yarn on etsy with this "defect" and it looks very pleasing to my eyes so I am gonna just not worry about it. I LOVE the way it looks! I like it so much better than store bought yarn. I will ALWAYS spin my own yarn. I just love it! I am thinking I will try to make a sweater out of this for Maylee...Kathleens sweater has inspired me!

Maylees New sweater

I wanted a sweater for Maylee for this winter cause it is SOOO cold here in Kentucky, at least I think it is, all I know is my fingers are numb right now LOL. But this super nice lady Kathleen, made Maylee a sweater and its the fanciest sweater in the universe I swear!

Oh and Kathleen happens to sell some really cool trims and stuff on ebay check her out if your in the market for trims and lace

Maylee trying to get the soap curing hehehe

Isnt she precious?!

I LOVE this sweater and it fits her so good!

Her skirt was from a trade I did with Danielle of pixypatch who makes hippie patchwork clothing and accessories

Its hemp and I love hemp, so Maylee has her cool hemp skirt, bloomers I made for her, and the sweater made with love by Kathleen. She is one loved baby here!

Oh and thats NOT a cigarette she is packing around its a straw. Its super hard to get pictures of her lately cause she runs from the camera so I didnt bother making her furious by taking away her straw...at least its not her onion...

My 100th post

WOW I sure babble a lot, this is the 100th post I have made since I started this blog in June os 2007. Most of the posts here was made after myspace deleted my profile in early 2008 and ALL the blog posts I made while I was pregnant with Maylee which broke my heart to lose them, so after that I was determined to blog somewhere that was safe so I came here.

So We went out last night cause I had a thing for Taco Bell, you can get any item on their menu with bean substitute for the meat, so I like Taco bell. I of course put on my new hat mentioned in the last post, and Tyler says, "Mama, your not gonna wear that hat INSIDE taco bell are ya??" I groan and sigh because *I* think my hat is uber cool but obviously my son thinks otherwise so when we get to Taco Bell, I start to get out of the van to get Maylee and Tyler yells, "Mama the HAT!!!" So I yank it off and we go in. This scene plays out at every place we stopped at, I had to remove the hat for fear of "Embarrassing" my son (sigh) I think he is at that age where everything embarrasses him, and I cannot make myself wear boring clothes and blend into the public just because he has issues, so he needs to recognize, I am mama...I am weird...live with it.

Isnt she sweet when she is sleeping. Noor took this picture yesterday of her and I didnt know till I took pictures off my camera. She is so cute I had to share!

So now thanks to Lacy who crochets stuff and plays with wool I now have this thing for Yo Gabba Gabba. In Particular the "Party in my tummy" song If you click that link just be patient it WILL load and you can get your Brobee fix I promise...anyhoo, I go to Toys r us one day just messing around with Tyler cause he was looking for a skateboard or something, and I had this idea that MAYBE there is a Brobee toy!! So I go looking and I found one! He even sings Party in my tummy!!! As soon as I had the money I was more than happy to plunk it down for my sweet baby to have her own soft Brobee that sings party in my tummy!

Here she is holding Brobee up in victory, she finally got him!

She is biting his neck cause she loves him.

The mark on her face is from another fall...she is such a daredevil. we have to keep the chairs laying down here cause she will climb in them and fall if we don't...this was from a forgotten chair...and don't you know she was right back up in one within an hour, Tyler left one standing up and she ran right for it (sigh) she is something else....

I am just blabbing on and on today cause Maylee is still sleeping so all the things I been dying to blog about are gonna be compacted here LOL.

I have made trades lately, and they have been incredible. I am just gonna throw in a few things, i wish I had time to get them all but I know she will be up soon....so here is a few!

ADORABLE doll and hat from Monkeylips on Etsy She makes the coolest hats and other stuff, her work is exquisite! I love trading with her. She sent the hat I traded soap for which Maylee is wearing but its really for me hehehe, and she was so kind to send ANOTHER hat that Tyler took cause as he said, it was WAY better looking than store bought! And she sent this really cool doll that Maylee packs around all the time. Thanks so much Monkeylips!

This hot pink skull keychain came from oubliette oubliette

Makes my keys easier to find now and its just so damn cool I cant stand it. Thanks so much for the great ttrade!!

And you know I cant resist Hello Kitty so when I was asked by Ilovehellokitty if I wanted to trade I almost broke my fingers trying to type quickly back to her YEEESS! LOL

I got this necklace cause its so prissy and fancy and soooo *me* I love it and it goes with all my pink tops I have!

She MADE this Kitty out of swarovski crystals! She like sewed them together or something to make the kitty. I get compliments on this EVERY time I wear it. THANKS AGAIN!

This skirt is one I got in trade from the ever lovely Danielle of Pixypatch who makes handmade clothing and accessories
This is from her peanut patchwork line, and its real hemp! I had to dress Maylee up like a little hippie for this one. Aint she a doll! I made her little bloomers she is wearing too.

Oh and the mark on her bottom lip is another battle scar that is now healed LOL She is one hardcore baby!

This is a sleeper made by the crazy talented Justine of Potomac River Goods. She does batik and hand dying and she sews a lot too. I was in absolute awe when I opened the package and there was this sleeper. It fits her so good and is loose enough it will last her all winter too...she is so pretty in it. I love all the extra touches, there is hearts and dragonflies on the sleeves and the word LOVE on the foot, and a butterfly on it...just so many little things all over it. Justine really made it special and put a lot of love in it for my sweet baby and I appreciate it more than I can say to her. I also got these awesome soy armwarmers but I dont have a picture! I wish I did I wear them every day cause they are so awesome. That link will take you to the listing I bought that has her pictures in it.

And last but not least...I will shut up in a minute just hang tight...These pants are for sale on Etsy (I have to spam you!) and the top I bought from Jesse at Kynd Coastal Creation She has a lot of listings for Custom Hippie Clothes right now, but she made this top and I LOVE it. Its so perfect and the applique is a work of art. If your in the market for some patchwork or some applique work that is truly art check her out.

Ok thats it! I shut up I promise!! I have been DYING to share all the beautiful goods I have traded for and bought cause I hope to bring these shops some business too. If your in the market for great quality stuff check out the sellers I have mentioned. Handmade=love and high quality.

I hope to post again soon I hope you enjoyed my 100th post and my ramblin gon about anything and everything going on here lately!

My new hat I crocheted with tutorial

In celebration of my love of patchwork I have decided to make a hat from scraps of yarn, and some yarns I had full skeins of, but most was scraps. This hat turned out so freaking cool I think I may make some to put on etsy. If I try really super hard to get time I can make one in one night. I can crochet anywhere which is a good thing.

here you can see the side of the hat..I made the toop of this just kinda cut off, I didnt round it it ended up being kinda square ya know?? It looks so cool like that, really unique.

I made this pattern myself of course, and I will share a bit here how I did it:

I chained enough so that the chain fit around my head when I stretched it, then I made a single crochet in every chain, then I made half double crochets in the next row and every row thereafter. All I did was make one row out of one yarn and then I slip stitched that row and added a new yarn for the next row, after the slip stitch make a chain and then start putting half double crochets in each loop going around. I did do some increases after about the 4th row. I would only increase each row by one until I got the hat tall enough. You have to keep trying it on often once it gets so big so that you dont make it too tall. The increases are so the hat gets that square look at the top, and ends up being bigger at the top than at the bottom.

here you see the hat just laying flat so you get an idea of how its supposed to look when its done.

The ONLY problem I have with this hat is it ended up looking funky where I would start a new row, and it ended up haveing more of a slat outward where I joined the rows too, maybe I wasnt careful and put a stitch in the slip stitch which your not suppsed to do...I dunno. i thought about making the hat in two pieces but then it wouldnt look the way I wanted it to and it would be more work, so i will just be more careful making the next one so I dont accidentally increse at the join.

I considered putting one on Etsy. What do you guys think? Would you buy something this funky? How much would you pay?? I dont think crocheted goods sell very well on etsy but this is really unique and I am seriously thinking about adding them to my collection. I love crocheting and wish i could make more stuff. I am thinking about making a skirt for Maylee thats got this same theme...just a bunch of different yarns put together. She would be too cute in it!

Oh and I just ordered some more wool from Copperpot and hope to have it by the end of this week. I am stocked up on Kool-Aid and ready to do some serious dying!

My newest projects Spinning Wool!

I havent got a lot accomplished since I last wrote. My arthritis is beating my ass this year, but in spite of it I still manage to do new things!

This is some plain wool roving I got for cheap and dyed it with kool Aid

These colors are pink lemonade and lemon lime, and yes the resulting yarn smells incredible!

This is the yarn I spun from this roving. Its my first yarn! I think I did OK but not sure since I have only seen handspun yarn in pictures, so if anyone with experience can tell me if this sucks or not please feel free to leave detailed constructive feedback....just please dont say "You suck" and run off..PLEEEEZE!

And for my next little project that I worked on over the course of 3 days is my new camera holder/thingy.

Pretty cool Huh? I like it cause its sure to keep the boys off of it cause its pink and has a big ruffle hehehehe

My new camera is little and I also bought it in pink so the boys will leave it alone too but so far no luck, they just like it and they like it for the same reasons I do, its fast, and cool looking and makes noises...our old camera was pretty basic but this new one makes a funny noise when you push the button to take a picture. Its cool! Oh and all these pictures were taken with it, so it works pretty good too. it was a black friday special so I am happy with what I got for the price. Its an 8.1 MP camera so it takes BIG pictures!

Oh yeah I made the holder/thingy out of cotton yarn cause I like cotton. I have made a billion dishtowels and washclothes out of that skein so I used the rest to make this holder YAY!

I started this headband from the yarn I spun. I hope it turns out OK I know it sure looks cool so far! I hope to work on it more today

god I love pink and green together....

This is a ball of white cotton yarn I dyed with Kool Aid cause I LOVE the color of Ice Blue Raspberry lemonade! It didnt turn out the way I wanted but I am OK with the way it turned out I guess...I got spots of that awesome color all thru the skein.

yes it also smells wonderful like the roving.

And last but not least a project that has taken me over a week to finish, these awesome pants!

the fabric is to die for. Its a hippie looking print that is super colorful! I seen it and HAD to have it even though it was way over my price limit for fabric. So these will be selling for a wee bit more but the fabric is really great quality and this print is just too damn cool.

here is an up close of the pocket...I used this awesome rainbow ric rac my friend Pren sent me. You can see in this picture JUST how awesome the fabric is. It all looks like an old 60's poster for a festival.

These will be on Etsy as soon as I can get a decent day that I feel OK and the sun is shining...yes it will take an act of god for this one. I have other bloomers to list too, but just cannot get a good day here. Sun never shines and its always too cold to go outside, and with my thyroid problem i cannot stand the cold in any way for any length of time. I just cant do it. So all the pictures of my stuff I post on Etsy from here on out is gonna have to be indoors which means I am gonna have to get creative!

I just wanted to let all my readers know that if I am not posting much or online much its mainly due to my arthritis. Its the worst its ever been this winter, with the exception of the time I was pregnant which was the worst that arthritis can get, but nonetheless I hurt and its hard to sit most days, and hard to stand or lay down. My Fibromyalgia is kicking my butt too, and then all the little health problems the thyroid the severe anemia....I just feel bad, and I get as much done every day as I can because I WANT to keep going and doing stuff but god I feel like hell...So thats where I am if I am not on hippiesew or floating around Twitter or posting here....just hurting like heck wishing for spring time!

Oh and Maylee has another new tooth, a BIG one in the back! She also says "Doo Da" And "Da Doo"....what it means I dont know but everything is "Doo Da", and Noor is mama...I dont know what I am to her...Maybe *I* am "Doo Da"!? Oh and she can now say "Tyler" I was yelling for him one day and she started yelling for him too! It was so cute!

Pay It Forward

My friend Sara, AKA Momwithahook just made this blog post about paying it forward. I think this is a wonderful idea, and I am a firm believer in sending random acts of kindness whenever the urge strikes. I myself send out tons of them thru the year to random victims (evil laugh) and my gifts of love are almost always needed for one reason or another and always appreciated. The only time I take a break from my RAOK's is in November and December for fear someone will think its a Christmas gift rather than a gift of love. However if I was impressed to send someone something during these months I would not hesitate if I sensed a real need.

I think we should all jump on the PIF bandwagon. Go see Sara's Post for more info!

Nothing says, "Hey, man I love ya!" Like something handmade and unexpected.

new listings on etsy

I am listing stuff again cause the sun finally came out today in Kentucky YAY!

I have a few pair of bloomers, one in flannel one in fleece and another in a muslin type butterfly print fabric. I also have a pair of bloomers in muslin I am experimenting on, but more on that later

The fleece bloomers are for the more goddess sized mama and these measure 74 inches in the hip stretched out so this would fit a size 22 and on up. I have these priced nicely as well. I got a good price on the fleece, and with fleece being 60 inches wide I can make larger bloomers like this without haveing to charge more for extra fabric. I will be open to more customs sometime in December so if you want a pair I can hook you up!

the flannel bloomers are so soft and so warm too! These are cute as can be under a skirt as shown here. this skirt will be listed very soon. its made from an Alexander Henry print I fell in love with. its a simple skirt and the print is very bold, thats one thing I love about Alexander Henry stuff. Its BOLD!

I have a similar Alexander Henry fabric for sale in my shop right now too. If your interested....

So go check out my bloomers! I am officially up to my eyeballs in a custom and probably wont be listing any more for a week or so. If ya want em come and get em!

I have new soap today as well...

EggNog! I love how this one turned out. I molded it in a square box and sliced it in slices and it looks like a cake or something. i smells just like egg nog too. great for the holidays! It too is soon to be listed

This one is originally called "Christmas Cabin" After I made it I decided it smells nothing at all like a Christmas Cabin but it DOES smell like every truck driver I have ever met. This is a cross between Brut and Old Spice, a kick in the nuts from Chuck Norris with a Karate chop to the throat from Bruce Lee. This is the manly man's scent. this is for the guy that climbs mount Everest JUST to pee off of it. This is for the guy who eats his steak raw, and uses duct tape to hold together deep flesh wounds rather than get some "sissy" stitches. If you have a manly man like this in your life, get him some soap! If he even still bathes he would love this!

More soaps to come soon! I have 7 new scents all total I will be listing all week. So check my store periodically to see whats up!

We bought it

I signed the contract on the land yesterday and we are gonna close on it today! YAY!

Now I am thinking about what TYPE of house we are gonna build. I have always wanted a cob but any kind of sustainable housing is great. I would love to build something different ya know, like an earthship or strawbale house.

The land itself is perfect for a house partially underground. There is a hill on the land seen in this picture that would make for an awesome inground house. This picture was taken standing at the bottom of this hill. I know one thing its plenty tall enough for it, and deep enough to give plenty of living space. I am still trying to talk Noor into all this. He knows its been my dream for several years to do something like this. its cheaper to build for one thing, and it will end up being cheaper on our heating and cooling costs if we end up having any at all! Noor is kinda hell bent we are gonna build the traditional house, he is afraid of the laws and whatnot, but I keep telling him this property is 1 MILE from a main road...unless neighbors call in on us I doubt anyone would know, and as of right now we have NO neighbors! Most people in this part of the country have the idea, if it dont hurt me then screw it...so thats a good thing. Our weirdo house wont be bothering anyone so I doubt there will be a problem with authorities.

So I will keep you guys updated here of what is going on with the building of the house, and again if anyone out there knows someone who wants a house in Louisville Ky holla at me, I got a fine one for sale cheap. All I want out of this is enough to pay off the mortgages which is about 85,000 bucks. Cheap for a 2 bedroom house with 1100 sq feet of room and a .47 acre lot very close to downtown Lousiville.

I am so excited!! I wish we hadnt bought this house now. i wish we could just move in with mom for a little while or something and start building NOW! Like this afternoon! LOL

We MAY be moving in a few months!

And if we move it will be here.

This is a 4.8 acre plot of land 7 miles from my mom and about 8 miles from the river (smiles)

At the river there is fishing, and swimming....for free!

At mommies house there is good food and cakes...for free!

See why I wanna get down there so bad!

This is a view from ON the land. We walked (oh god it killed me) across one of the property boundries to see where the back of the property lie. We found it past those trees. At this point I was wishing I could materialize a 4 wheeler out of nowhere. It is hilly. They say "Gently" rolling...they havent been arthritic, anemic, and fibromyalgic walking across this thing with weeds up to their asses...its NOT gentle! But its pretty nonetheless....

This is a shot from the center of the land....almost. Its got trees across one side and across the back and the center is pretty much open. I found a HUGE variety of plant life in the weeds, so I am pretty sure the gground is good for growing. There is also a lot of rock like you find around creek beds. I found some nice granite too...and those chalk rocks. I like those. I found a big one too! I would have went nuts over that when I was a kid! LOL I almost brought it home with me LOL

I have no idea where we would put a house or barn or anything. We havent planned nothing yet. We havent even made the down payment because he was late to work and we had to rush home. We will be going back friday to actually purchase this land though. I am almost positive he wont go back and change his mind...if he does I am gonna be pissed cause I done told everyone about this LOL and I like the land a lot...but we do need a 4 wheeler. Unless I get real healthy real quick LOL.

Also in other news...I made a glove! LOOK!

I made this with some handspun wool from my favorite place on Etsy Cintia's Hippie Shop. I HIGHLY recommend going there cause she has tons of real sweet looking stuff in there, and her yarn is INCREDIBLE! The yarn I bought is the blue sparkly stuff at the top. i knew I didnt have enough to do the whole glove as long as I wanted it to be so I mixed em up, but I LOVE having that warm soft wool on my hands!

I used a nice furry soft blue yarn I got in Chicago, and a plain white acrylic held together to make the bottom part, and of course the plain white for the ruffley trim. If anyone wants to know how I did these, I will try to write out the pattern. I just made it up as I went along, and I consider myself a beginner, so this is NOT hard! LOL

I also made a glove today for mommy while we was driving to the country to look at that land we found. Yeah I made this in like an hour! The top is just plain acrylic and the bottom I used ribbon and yarn held together, and then I made a white ruffle below that part. I wish I could get a decent picture, this is the best one I got. Its raining outside again so no sun today, BLAH!

I thought mommy could use some of these gloves cause she gets cold at Bingo...hehehe. I figured she could wear these and still have use of her fingers to hold her bingo marker thingy...

Well I guess thats it for big news and big creations today LOL. I got some pants I am working on I will try to get pictures up when they are done. They are already sold so dont get excited LOL I just like to show em off. I got big plans for them

Oh yeah and if ya want them I have a pair of flannel bloomers and a pair of muslin bloomers on etsy right now! (opens floodgates) LOL!!!

Love you guys!!!

I got tagged again!

OK 7 things about me you didnt know...

1.) I will gross you out from the start with this one...since I took 3 grams of vitamin C friday night my pee is STILL nuclear, day glo, yellow/green I know this is not normal, and I am hoping it quits soon.

2.) I really like this new crocheting thing I picked up and I secretly wish I could hide in a closet and do it all the time...no one would bother me there!

3.) I have the worst, most horrid, kentucky ,country, hillbilly, redneck accent you have ever heard in your life...I am not kidding. I sound like I lived in the backwoods all my life...hey wait. I did.

4.) I grew up in the backwoods...seriously. I grew up in a nice "Holler". It was a opening surrounded by three hills. There was roughly 2 acres total that was flat and thats where the farm was and our house. We were very sheltered from the weather too, no tornados could get us. Dad said so.... but yeah...backwoods baby!

5.) I went to a high school with a bunch of white kids and 1 black dude.Thats how hillbilly it was...I never seen a black person till I was about 7?? maybe 8 years old. No joke! Asian people was only on TV...I was a lot older when I seen one of them, and then I thought the asian guys was hot so I married one hehehehe

6.) I read the entire Encyclopedia set my mom bought me within a month or so of me being able to read good....so I was like 6. I loved reading, I still do. And I hate reading novels and stuff. I would rather sit down with a good dictionary or encylcopedia volume, or a medical text than to read a novel. I love to learn. God I love it! This qualifies me for official NERD status I am sure, but I like it!

7.) I like talking to people when I go out. I know in most cities its not kosher to be friendly...I just came from Chicago last month so I know this LOL but here in Kentucky the people are friendly. We really are. I like it I can go out and strike up a conversation with an elderly lady and she talks back to me real nice, or sometimes young people will be nice too...I like it when elderly ladies pick ME out of all the people in a store to help them with something. That makes me SOOO happy cause I really love old people. I guess they can pick up people like me on their radar and they gravitate toward us somehow...I like it. I miss taking care of the elderly. But I guess in a way I still do on occasion.

OK I am still thinking about who to tag...I have no freaking clue AGAIN! but I am gonna go sleep on it and if I dream up 7 people I will update this post appropriately!

I feel like venting

I need to have an all out bitch fest, so here goes...

I go to the doctor wednesday and he is a new doctor. My old one whom I loved with all my heart apparently had to leave due to her MS getting worse. I now hate MS with a passion cause it took my Dr Stevens away. Anyhoo, I get this old dude, and old dude doctors tend to be...arrogant?? I dont know how else to put it. Well he obviously knew everything there was to know about medicine but guess what, I do too! I chose not to battle it out with this guy cause I increasingly am laying all my hopes in alternative therapies for everything wrong with me.

He does do SOME lab work I requested. He did a half a$$ check of my thyroid, and my T4 is borderline...like 1 point off from what they would consider abnormal...I have ALL the symptoms of hypothyroidism and some like my memory loss are severe.I have very little short term memory so if anyone out there has tried to email me or get anything out of me and I seem like I am on drugs, I am not. I have hypothyroidism and my short term memory is fried. Please forgive me and just keep wailing on me till you get a response LOL

He did check my iron cause he was more concerned about my iron than my thyroid...my concern lay in my thyroid but again he is not the one living in this fat vegan body and trying to do everything I am trying to do on half a brain and no energy. So we get the results back of my hemoglobin, and its 8. Keep in mind kiddies that hemoglobin should be 11 at the very least and I believe they consider you mildly anemic if its 11...I am 8. No wonder I feel like crap. How in gods name do I get everything done??!! Yeah I procrastinate like crazy but in the end I get it ALL done. SO I am severely anemic and I do have hypothyroidism regardless what arrogant a$$ says, and I have to treat this myself cause THEIR iron pills make me very sick in a very bad way and Mr Know it all smarty pants doctor wont give me levothyroxin (gives Doc the big middle finger)

I hit Bardstown rd...for those of you that live in Louisville you know this is where you go for "weird" stuff. I wish I lived there...GOD I WISH I LIVED THERE! I envy you highlanders!!!! Anyhoo back to the medicine....I go to the best health food store in the universe Amazing Grace Foods
I end up getting a bunch of vegan glucosamine, and something to kick my thyroid in the butt, and a multivitamin that mops the floor with all other multivitamins. It rules, seriously. I also found this great vitamin C powder that is 5 GRAMS of vitamin C per TEASPOON! OMG I now have glow in the dark urine, and I dont think thats normal....

I started taking all this stuff friday night, and I have to say I think i felt better on saturday...I seemed to have a bit more energy but it could just be a placebo effect.

So I mostly wanted to post this not only to vent but to let anyone know I am sick. I been sick like this for a while. I only bitch about my arthritis pain but I am really bad off in other ways too and I dont think I can keep up, so I am going to extend my "vacation" to the end of the month. I will take special orders for soap, and maybe 1 or 2 orders for bloomers, but I am not gonna let myself get swamped like I have been. Finances are better and I dont HAVE to. I need to focus on me right now cause if I dont there wont be a "me" to make no more soap or bloomers LOL Of course I want to have fun and make bloomers and soap LOL But as of right now I think I have all the orders I can take on for now. In my free time I will try to post some premade bloomers cause thats what you guys like!

And these holidays are coming up...I have a hard time getting into the "christmas" thinking cause we dont celebrate LOL. I always think its just cold outside, I dont have the "Christmas" mindset like everyone else...I am trying to do better with that in my soap shop though. i am focusing on seasonal scents and trying to get in stuff that the Christmas celebrating folks might like, but man, its hard trying to get into it LOL I dont "feel" it like everyone else, and we also dont watch TV so we arent being bombarded with it 24/7 too. So if I seem ditzy in the Christmas department, I am. I have not celebrated since 1999 for various reasons. I dont wish to spark a debate or step on toes...

but I have been Christmas free for a long time, and when I met Noor...well he never celebrated to begin with. it was a "christian" thing back in Malaysia, and something his family never partook of, and here he was astonished to find even the most sinful people participating in Christmas LOL Back there it was a religious holiday, but here its an EVERYBODY holiday. So when I found out he didnt celebrate either, well I fell in love again LOL Lots of things make me like his goofy ass...So each year we joke to each other, I ask him what he is getting his wife for christmas, and he will come off with some off color remark about diamonds are forever ROFLMAO! Or some other marketing ploy he seen on TV LOL We have fun with it, and its weird to us (non TV watchers) to see the shops immediatly transform from normal to Christmas hell practically overnight. I will always come home and tell him sometime in October or sooner, that Christmas must be coming the damn tinsel and lights are up in the stores. He comes back from an auto parts store yesterday telling me about Christmas music...with his half ass grin, he said it made him want to buy tools as gifts, LOL.

Its also funny when he works overtime at this time of year cause the people at work think he is working extra to buy Maylee a bunch of crap for Christmas LOL. I went thru that when I worked there with him...they thought we both were working hard to get Tyler a bunch of stuff, and then they would ask him what he was getting me for Christmas and Oh god it was just too funny. Those were good times, good times. I miss working with my husband. We got a lot done on our unit and we had fun too. I miss it.

OK so here I am wailing on Christmas....(sigh) Its the christmas music in the stores , it does this to me LOL.

So I am asking for all your "high hemoglobin" vibes right now. i want to get it up to 12 at least...I never have known myself to be above 11 really...but i am shooting for 12, and I go to be rechecked sometime around...December 25th...hehehehe....So I need to get more spinach and keep taking this awesome multivitamin, and hope for the best. I can do it!

New skirts

OK These pictures defy physics, they suck AND blow. But its the best I can do for now while my camera batteries are charging. Here is the Artsy Collage skirt

I am looking at the bad clouds in the sky, I still have to go out and I dont like going out when its raining! And besides I just cleaned out new van!

Of course Tyler takes pictures when I have the dumbest looks on my face or when I am talking to him so I look stupid.

Or he takes pictures when I am messing with my hair so I look extra stupid (sigh)

This skirt is my new Tinkerbell skirt! I have very few pictures of it cause my camera batteries died and are recharging right now. I really wanted to show this one off so I am posting these pictures even though they suck big time.

The front is one of those baby blanket quilt panel things. I cut it into an A-Line and I had the most incredible purple batik with blue spots in it. I could not have matched these up any better, and believe it or not each fabric was bought on a sererate shopping trip! Even the green at the bottom with the blue in it was bought at a different time and they all just came together in my kitchen today! I wish I had a good picture of the fabrics...I will get one tomorrow. Noor is off and as soon as it hits noon he is taking pictures!

The back of this I appliqued one of the fairies from the leftover part of the panel. You can see Maylee following me with a bag of cinnamon cereal LOL. God I wish these pictures was at least CLEAR!

There is a pocket which you cant see in the pictures real good, but I made it of a piece of the quilt panel that had stars on it...its cool!I sewed a piece of silver metallic ric rac on the top of it.

Tomorrow I will have good pictures of BOTH skirts but for now this is the best I got for tonight.
