Maylee's Modified Stroller

I was sitting on the front porch sweating like a rabid pig and getting eaten alive by mosquitos when here comes Tyler down the street....with Maylee's stroller tied to his bike (sigh)

As you can see she made it thru OK and cried when he got off his bike. She loved it and wanted to do more "bye bye".

He tells me excitedly how he built this contraption and the "hell" he went thru finding something that worked...this was his first experiment below:

Yeah you thought the stroller tied to the bike was scary, and the car seat strapped to the dolly was horrifying, get a load of this

Yes...he was gonna somehow TIE this to his bike and put that sweet baby in there to drive her around..he tells me that he did not think it would hold up...(sigh) Note the lack of front tires....

Maylee seems to enjoy her new "bye bye" she wouldnt stay out of it and kept asking Tyler to go "bye bye"

See how happy she is! LOL Her pants are her new kitty pants I made for her over this weekend. She loves kitties! Thanks goodness she is still around to enjoy the kitties...Tyler is pretty good at rigging up stuff though...kinda wish he had asked me first though. This was so hilarious I HAD to share with you guys. ENJOY!

Gift giving season is upon us

Well kids, its August and for those of you that celebrate the holidays its time to think about gifts. Yep the old fat guy in the white and red suit is getting ready to come around and fill your TV screens with his jolly laughter and commercial goodness.

What do you do when you just reeeallllly *dont* wanna shop at one of those big box stores? What do you do when you want to give a gift that says," Hey, I love you, cause your special." Where do you look?

Well look no farther cause Artfire is gearing up for this holiday season too! If your looking for a unique gift for a loved one, your search is over!

Of course you could go look at "the other site" for handmade goodies, but we love Artfire in this house (Not just cuz I won 100 bucks from them either...)

For a Unique gift that is from the heart remember Artfire gift guides this season. Whether its for a birthday, or that good ol commercial monstrocity surrounding you know who's birthday, think Artfire this holiday season.

(Maybe I should write commercials instead of Articles on Marketing??)

Good news For us

Where to begin! My luck has really changed this week! I got a wholesale account with a local lady who sells at Mellwood Arts Center She will be stocking her boutique with my soaps and perfumes! YAY! So if you live here in Louisville I will let you know when she opens for sure so you can stop by.

I won the Artfire Facebook contest! Thanks so much to my facebook friends for helping me out! Thanks again to HarmonArt for letting me write about their awesome shop full of ceramic and gourdament goodness! Thanks also to everyone that seen my link here on the blog and "liked" my comment. You have no idea what this means to me. I NEVER get to shop for stuff I dont need ya know? And this is a great oppurtunity for me to do that. Of course I am buying for the kids but I am getting some stuff just for *ME* too! YAY!

My husband and I are collaborating with my mom in her evil plan to move us to her property to make him mow grass and make me paint stuff around the house for the rest of our lives. I am OK with this as long as mommy makes lots of chocolate pies in return for the labor.

We have agreed that YES we are moving, and YES we will do it as soon as we get the money together which shouldnt be too many more months away. We have a rare opportunity right now to save a lot of money and we are taking advatage of it so that we can eventually OWN whatever we end up living in with no more housing payment! That is my goal. Then we can be rich! I think mom secretly wants to be closer to the baby and she wants us to be there cause she is lonely without dad but she wont say so.

Behind my moms house is a virtual family trailor park. This all started when my uncle bought a house in the country...then I got divorced from my first hubs and mom and dad couldnt deal with the drama and moved on my uncles property next to his house...then a few months ago my cousin (uncles daughter) moves a trailor and her 3 kids behind his house...and here we are looking to move behind moms house beside my cousin LOL. I dont think the land can hold another family member so all you guys back off the last spot is TAKEN! LOL It will be SO NICE to live so close to family! Maylee can play with her cousins and I can get to know mine better, it will be so nice. I cant wait!

So thats my "happy" blog post. Things are changin', times getting better and better. I am so blessed. Maylee also learned how to say "kisses" last night, and she has started giving kisses as a game this past week. Maybe that had something to do with our luck changing LOL. I would like to think so.

I have some new articles up on HMN too if you got time for more reading of my writing LOL. Now you know I couldnt go thru a whole blog post without spamming SOMETHING I do !

Random Post

I dont get to update my blog like i would like to do, I have been so busy lately with other things my poor blog gets pushed to the back a lot. Here is what has been up with us lately

Larry got just over 5,000 bucks from the 48 for Larry event, and a local organization has stepped in to pay for the rest of what he needs for his surgery. Larry will be just fine now! YAY! I pray he gets thru the surgery OK and he lives a long healthy life to see his grandkids someday. If I hear anything more I will keep you updated. Thanks so much to my street team members who helped out. You made me proud! Thanks also to everyone else who bid or donated items, we came together out of love for this man and made something beautiful happen. I am proud I could be a part of it.

My street team got a grant from Etsy, yeah they gave US a grant WOW! We got it for advertising, my right hand woman, Kim is on top of it due to me being so busy with other things at the moment. I have NO idea what I would do without her!

My steet team is gonna be opening up a team shop very soon, I am hoping we can get some team logo shirts made up as soon as we can get a logo made to be silkscreened or digitized to an embroidery design. Big plans here! All the money from the team shop will go toward team expenses like a meeting in the bahamas...how I WISH! LOL We want to do tons of advertising. The team has the potential to do big stuff here. I am excited. Thanks a million times over to Sara who is gonna be running the team shop. She is invaluable! She also has a cool shop with bunches of Reusable Coffee Sleeves She has a HUGE job in the team and that is taking care of the members and all that is involved with that. Sara, you rock!

I have a wholesaler buying from me who is local now, so I will be making soap and perfumes in mass. YAY! I have another lined up for August, we will see how that works out.

I have been taking a lot of customs lately for clothing and have been busy busy taking care of those, I have made some really awesome pieces lately. I have had lots of fun projects and I thank you guys for letting me make your clothing dreams a reality!

My job over at HMN is going great, I have a couple of features coming up over there, and I really enjoy writing a lot. I am proud to be on the ground floor of such a great source of information. HMN has some changes coming up soon to the design and look, so keep checking back often. Bookmark us and check out all the Departments, there is something for everyone whether your looking for Fun Stuff to do or your wanting to market your business better, we got ya covered! My profile has listings of all the articles I have wrote on Marketing. I been at this for quite a while and picked up some things along the way and I enjoy being able to pass the info along to businesses starting out.
